1. Yes. I really enjoyed the film because the story is all about the effort, strategies and knowledge of Rizal as well as the other Filipino to have democracy from the Spaniards through Rizal’s writings and hard worked.
2. Yes, I agree with the main purpose that the film wanted to convey because the film wants to enlighten us and help us realize that being an individual without enough knowledge have no power to express their feelings and thoughts.
3. What I like most in the film was when Rizal got sick in Madrid, but he still writing even though he is sick. That part of the film really shows the sacrifice of Rizal in his motherland.
4. The lesson I’ve learned from the film is that being an idiot or without knowledge is a barrier from democracy.
5. Yes. They did a good job because they really shows how Filipinos were treated on Spanish time.
6. I think, no further enhancement need. The simplicity of the movie made the film beautiful.

1. Did you like this film in general? Why? - I like the film very much! Even though I have already watched it a gazillion times, I always find it very inspiring. Rizal will always be my national hero. I grew up hearing stories about him: his heroism, his works, and his life. This movie makes me even prouder just to be a Filipino! 2. Did you agree with the main theme/purpose that the film wants to convey? Why or why not? - I agree with its purpose, which I think is to show to everyone how Rizal (and all the other Filipinos involved in our liberation from Spain) became a hero. In my opinion, it is our obligation to know our history and how it became the free county that it is today.
3. What specifically did you like/dislike about the film? Why? - I applaud the part where Rizal and Crisostomo/Simoun were being compared with each other in alternating scenes. It has been a hard life for Rizal, but he was able to put his thoughts into his works and share it to the Filipinos. I also like how the movie depicted not just Rizal but also other influential people in our history. However, I think that the movie could have been made longer. But nonetheless, it is still a great watch.
4. What lesson or insight have you learned from the film? - Every people, wherever they may be in the world, should always be proud to be a Filipino. Our country deserves at least a little, if not much, respect and gratitude for embracing us whoever we are, without hesitations and doubts. Despite all the things happening in our country today, we will still remain a Filipino by heart, by soul, and by mind.
5. Did the author/actors/director do a good job in the film? Why or why not? - For me, all of they did a great job. Praises should be given to Cesar Montano for effectively playing the part of Rizal. I also like how the “Spanish people” acted their part, especially to Jaime Fabregas (as Taviel). I am also a big fan of Ping and Pen medina, and I think their portrayal of Paciano was given justice. I also salute the works done by the writers and the director (Marilou Diaz Abaya) for making this movie a success, not just for commercial matters but also for personal issues.
6. What particular changes would you like to recommend to further enhance the quality of the film? How could it be further improved? - Movie-wise, I think it has shown all the more relevant events in the life of Rizal. But I think it could have more scenes, both on his personal life and the other relevant issues in his works. They could also include the inspirations of Rizal (person or event) and how it influenced him to do what he chose to do.

1. Did you like this film in general? Why? - I like the movie because it's nice and because it's good that we have this kind of resources that talks about Jose Rizal. 2. Did you agree with the main theme/purpose that the film wants to convey? Why or why not? - Yes, i do agree with its theme because it shows Jose Rizal's life in every aspect. Through this, it would give us knowledge who really Rizal was. 3. What specifically did you like/dislike about the film? - I like the film in general but there should be more scenes about the light story about Jose Rizal like other talent etc. 4. What lesson or insight have you learned from the film? - That i should love my country in different ways that I can. I should be a good citizen and be proud for being a Filipino. 5. Did the author/actors/director do a good job in the film? Why or why not? - The whole casts of the movie really did great. The actors acted their role well and the director really considered like the props/costumes etc. 6. What the particular changes would you like to recommend to further enhance the quality of the film? How could it be further improved? - Maybe, there should be additional scenes that tackles about Jose Rizal's life story. The time should not be limited in showing all things about Rizal and the settings should be considered like doing some scenes in some historical landmarks. But, in general, the film was good.

1. Did you like this film in general? Why? - Yes, because even though our class didn't get to finish the whole movie, Rizal appears to be really interesting and his life story reflects how he was able to become our national hero and how much he was willing to fight for our country, even though it means giving up his freedom and life.
2. Did you agree with the main theme/purpose that the film wants to convey? Why or why not? - I think that the film wants to convey to the viewers how the Filipinos lived during the time of the Spaniards and how Rizal and his accomplices fought for what they saw and believed in, so I agree.
3. What specifically did you like/dislike about the film? Why? - What I like about the film is that it is educational as well as interesting. It gives the modern Filipinos a thorough view of what it was like to live during Rizal's time. I like the film since it helps us appreciate what happened then and how many Filipinos, especially Rizal, risked their lives to defend our country.
4. What lesson or insight have you learned from the film? - I learned plenty about the life of Jose Rizal before, during, and after his execution. I learned about his childhood, the women he loved, the story behind his novels and works and how he wanted them to be understood by the readers, and how these novels opened the eyes of the maltreated Filipinos. I learned how much Rizal saved our country, thus deserving to be the national hero.
5. Did the author/actors/director do a good job in the film? Why or why not? - Production-wise, the movie was good. The sound, lighting, and Spanish translations were great, as well as the casting. They also did good visual effects to let the viewer know when they are watching a part of Rizal's novels, so they wouldn't be confused. What I only didn't like was the woman who played Maria Clara, because she doesn't seem to fit the character in the novel.
6. What particular changes would you like to recommend to further enhance the quality of the film? How could it be further improved? - I liked the film the way it is, and I'm hoping that our class would be able to finish watching it.

It clearly depicts the nationalism not only of Rizal but all the Filipinos who sacrificed their lives for their motherland.
2. Did you agree with the main theme/purpose that the film wants to convey? Why or why not? -> Yes, of course I agree because it is very obvious that the film wants us to give importance on the sacrifices of our heroes and to appreciate their works because without them we will not become an independent country that we have now. 3. 1. Did you like this film in general? Why? ->I didn't just like this fim, i love it. Because it enables us to know more about our national hero, the sacrifices he(and other Filipinos as well)did to achieve the liberty that we have now, and it also tells us how important it is to do something for the sake of our country. 2. Did you agree with the main theme/purpose that the film wants to convey? Why or why not? ->Yes, I agree. Because it implicates how we should be proud of belonging to a democratic country like the Philippines. 3. What specifically did you like/dislike about the film? Why? ->I like the part where iRizal shows his bravery by fighting against the Spaniards bravely irregardless of his friends and family's caution. 4. What lesson or insight have you learned from the film? ->I learned that you don't just have to be silent in everything that was happening around you. Sometimes you have to fight for what you believe in especially if it was for the good of everyone. 5. Did the author/actors/director do a good job in the film? Why or why not? ->Yes, they did a good job in the film. Because they were able to show the viewers not just the life of Rizal but the meaningful lesson that envelops it. The film was also awakening and it truly touches the "being Filipino" to whoever watches it. 6. What particular changes would you like to recommend to further enhance the quality of the film? How could it be further improved? ->I think I would recommend to somehow discuss about Rizal's travel, his accomplisment and some of the wonderful people he had met. It would be further improve by showing the 'positive' side in the life of Jose Rizal.

1. Did you like this film in general? Why? Yes, I really like the movie. Actually it was my second time to watch that movie. but inspite of this I still did enjoy and feel excitement in every scene in the film because it depicts our past and it shows the reasons why we have to be proud that we are Filipinos. And it also portrays or pictures the essence and importance of education for every individual in order to combat illiteracy for them to have autonomy within their selves. This would be a good movie for every student to watch in order to realize who they are.
2. Did you agree with the main theme/purpose that the film wants to convey? Why or why not? Yes, I strongly agree because it clearly pictures the life and works of Dr. Jose Rizal and how he battle for the rights of his works to be published for his country men. All the scenarios are important for every Filipino to know and to value the bravery of our heroes no matter if it is by force or by education because without them we cannot practice autonomy.
3. What specifically did you like/dislike about the film? Why? I like all the scenarios in the film because it clearly visualize the past based from the history published in most of the books of our national hero, Dr. jose Rizal. I also like the effects in the film because as if they are like in the times that Dr. Jose Rizal was born and so this makes the movie like the real one that happened in the past.
4. What lesson or insight have you learned from the film? I have learned to value education, to be more proud that Iam a Filipino, to appreciate the sacrifices of our heroes in order for us to have freedom and to persevere in all the things that Iwant to do as long as I know that it will be for the better.
5. Did the author/actors/director do a good job in the film? Why or why not? They did a very good job all the effects, scenes, audio, setting, the way the characters speak Spanish are all convincing thus making this film a very good film to view.
6. What particular changes would you like to recommend to further enhance the quality of the film? How could it be further improved I think they should expand the life story of Dr. Jose Rizal. Yes it is perhaps a very good film that the director and other staff had produced but I still suggest that they made it in details in order to understand more about the works of Dr. Rizal like his Novels and poems.

*I like the Film "Rizal" because the film had shown the significance of the life of our great national Hero. *I agree with what was the film is trying to impart to all of the viewers, because the film is trying to open up the minds of the viewers most specially to us (the youth) to know and be inspired to what Rizal have done to our country on how he protected and saved his countrymen. *What I like in the film is when Rizal kept on standing for what a real Filipino is. it is when he was trying to uplift the Filipinoes when the colonizers are trying to pull the Filipinoes down. *the lesson i have learned in this film is that, I as a youth i have to embrace on what Filipino is, and on what are the cultures of the filipino, and i should have to bring this nationality elsewhere. *Actually, all the cast of Rizal film did a good job. They are really a very good actor and actresses. they'd work really hard in doing the film. and mostly they acted as what i was expecting from them. i am very satisfied. *uhm...we didnt finished the film actually because the cd was not that in good quality.. but yet i think the story of Rizal was really amazing. his really awesome!!

1. Did you like this film in general? Why? -I like the film generally because of its plot. Having Rizal reanimated through this movie made me know more about his life such as his family, education, principles and heroism. 2. Did you agree with the main theme/purpose that the film wants to convey? Why or why not? I agree with the film's theme because the story revolves around the heroism of Rizal. Rizal's braveness through the art of literature can awaken every Filipino's patriotism. Rizal himself said that war alone can't free a certain state from it's conquerors but also small things like education can help. 3. What specifically did you like/dislike about the film? Why? -I like certain scenes in the movie. First is when Rizal is giving romantic poems to his cousin Leonor Rivera. I am amazed by Rizal's greatness in making poems. Second is when Rizal is studying in UST and his teacher compared a Spaniard and a Filipino saying that the taller Spaniard is superior but Rizal said, "kung superior ang mga Kastila eh bakit natatalo sila sa mga Pilipino sa ibang digmaan?". -I didn't like the fact that the movie didn't give more details about Rizal's tour around the world. 4. What lesson or insight have you learned from the film? -The lesson that I learned from the film is contributing to the society can be done even in small ways like obeying your parents, the rules of your organization and the laws of your country. ;D 5. Did the author/actors/director do a good job in the film? Why or why not? -The director did a great job when he showed the important parts of Rizal's life. The disadvantage is he didn't showed more details to Rizal's life. -The actors and actresses also did a good job in the film. 6. What particular changes would you like to recommend to further enhance the quality of the film? How could it be further improved? -I recommend that the film should be chronologically arranged that means it should be from Rizal growing up until his death.
