:oTHE FIVE-FOLD QUESTIONS 1. Is this subject worth your tuition fee and time? Why? 2. Are you sure you are going to pass this subject? Why? 3. What grade do you expect to receive in this subject? Why? 4. What do you think of the system used by your professor in the recitation? 5. What suggestions would you like to offer to further improve the delivery of the subject?

1. I strongly believe that this subject "humanities" is worth the payment for our tuition fee for they woulnd't include this subject unless it woulnd't help us at all. It's also worth the time for if one could just really see the real importance of humanities then it woulnd't be that hard to appreciate it. Well, honestly i lyk this subject for it gives me the time to relax and to think some matters regarding about life compared to other subjects, this subject doesn't demand much. 2. Well in assessing myself, I'm confident that i can pass the subject. As each and everyone would say " I've done my best". Besides, although it's a minor subject i value this subject as i value my other major subjects. I'm attentive and doing all my might to be a great student. 3. As much as possible i would love to receive a grade of flat one but what it seems it's hardly possible to obtain a grade as high as that, in dreams it can be. Well all of us i know would like and would be very muach happy to receive a grade of flat 1 especially in humanities. Besides as much as possible i want to continue or keep my scholarship for my parents to be proud of me. So that when i'll be going home this semestral break i have something to share to them. Anyhow, it would all depend on my performance. 4. With the recitation technique of our professor, regarding what he used during prelims. Honestly, i don't like it that much though it's very new and very much exciting but my grades suffer in a way. Sometimes during recitation it doesn't reach at the back thus giving chances only to those people at the front. Sometimes i would love to share something about the topic or i would like to express myself but then again i have to wait for my turn. It's a bit unfair. 5. I love the subject, it's really great especially i'm an art lover so it's an advantage on my part i guess. But what i really noticed with the class is lack of rapport. I think for the subject to be really effective, it should be more of the teacher-student relationship. Better still is when us(students) be much in expressing our thought about what the topic is all about. What do we think of it? How will it be related to our evryday life? Or any relation to our life? Humanities is a very beautiful subject it makes one thinks about the beauty of life. Besides not to mention our professor is really trying his very best to teach us or to make us closer to this subject, he's very good though sometimes he's a bit moody?

Gud Afternoon sir, Yes! this subject worth my tuition fee and time because it helps me to gain and understand the true meaning of Humanities and how it can help on my all days activities. I can say that this subject is hard but I'm trying to be as good as i can to prove that i can. On my grades, hmm it all depends on you sir. But I can proudly say that i did my very best this quarter. All of the things that im doing is full heartedly and i put myself in it. On the kind of system sir that you use. It is nice and good because yopu help us to strive harder on our studies. I love Humanities subject, as a matter of fact it is the nicest subject. Its fun and enjoyable. I dont find it boring but interesting. I suggest that we can have activities by group to improve our way of socailization.That's all .Take care.

This subject helps me a lot to appreciate more about arts and to enhance my knowledge a bout it, so, it is still worth for my tuition fee and of course the time I spend to it.Well honestly, I can say yes becuse I did pass also for my quizzes and other activities but I am not sure about for my midterm especially to my mid-examination because I don't know the result yet if it will go down that will affect my grade but I'm still hoping for a higher grades especially this finals.I'm still expecting for a passing grade but I want to have a grade atleast higher than 2.00.Its alright for me about the system of our Prof. Solmerano in her way of giving recitation because it encourages us his students to recite better to make a higher grades in recitation.It's just like a competition with my classmates to have a higher grades because Prof. Solmerano uses the Paraiso-Purgatoryo System especially on our first prelim but not this midterm because we used to give some reaction on what we had watched about the diffirent films instead of recitation.I want to suggest more examples to our related topic and more patient to us...Thanks sir!...Take care!!!!

1. For me sir, definitely yes it is! Because I appreciate the things we do everytime we had our humanities subject. I learned a lot from you sir. I like the way we have our class, I mean viewing films or movies. I am much entertained and in a way it is not only for pleasure my knowledge about arts is broden. The movies that we have wathed is appropriate for our topic. 2. If I am to rate my self, I am sure sir that I am going to pass this subject. I know that I studying my lessons everyday. I do all that I can. I'm reading my lessons, attentively listens by the time we had our discussion. and I'm attending the class every meeting and I haven't been late or absent. I'm also passing the requirements you want us to pass. 3. A grade which I can deserve. I expect a passing grade, far from failling grade. Higher than 2. 4. It's okay with me. It is the first time that I have encountered a system like this. I love the way we had our recitation, I am enjoying because it just like we are playing in the class. And it is a challenging one cause everybody will participate, nobody wants to go in porgatoryo!!! So everyone will strive their best to go in heaven and experienced sitting in the hottest sit. On the other hand I disagree with this system because if you were on the last sit and then we will have our recitation and time is not enough you are not given a chance to go on the higher level. 5. I suggest that sir, please have a further explination on whatever we are going to discuss so that we will understand it better. We should continue the way we had our film viewing. Sorry sir if sometimes we are so "pasaway". Or why don't you just give us a group activity sir, so that we can help one another. In a way we will enjoy and learn at the same time. And we will know our classmates better. Hope that you will become more patient in teaching us.... Godbless..

1. yes it is worth paying my tution fee. because in this subject i was able to appreciate art, in a way that i wasn't able to before. now i dont judge a movie quickly, i watch it first then see what is the content of the movie, then i'll judge it. it is also important for us mass comm students to appreciate films. because in the future we will be watching lots of it and it is better for us to exposed in movies early. 2. i think so. because i dont find this subject boring. and if im not bored in a subject i would be able to understand and learn from it without effort. like what they say time flies when you are enjoying. 3. 1.25 4. it's fine for me. but i have a positive and negative reaction for the system the prof. is using. negative is that its kind of unfair, because youre not able to recite if it's not your turn. so even if you know the answer for the first question and youre not called you wont be able to move in your position and you wouldnt be able to get agrade that you deserve. my positive reaction is that i like it because it gives everybody a chance to talk and its kind of fun transferring one chair to another without getting scolded by your prof. 5. i suggest that we watch more movie and let us change our sitting arrangement i dont really like being at the back until the sem ends. rock on sir! n_n

up the good work and i enjoy your class, hop1.For me,, I dont think so..because, if FEU only focus on the subject major on our course then it wiil easy for us to study our other subject and also i dont see any reletion of this subject on our course taken. But it doesnt mean that i dont like this subject, its really fun and also it helps us understand many things which more focuses on life. It really helps student to give way for them to think the fact that many things are not being understand totally like how and why things happend specially the things that sorrounds us. Maybe if im not paying a worth of 42,OOO, i really enjoy this subject but for me if the subject is not really had to do with pur major maybe our tuition would be a little lower.. Its just only my opinion. 2.Yes, because i do all the activities and perform well to this subject even though i got failure grades sometimes. and also thers no reason for me to fail bec. im always present and I pass on my prelim. And I have a little feeling that I might pass the midterm exam.Well Im not being " Mayabang" i Just feel it and i see no wrong with that. 3. well, 2.OO or 1.75 rather, beacuse, well its just my feeling and im not that sure...hehehe...i wish that thats my grade in midterm but if my professor give me a higher one or lets say 1, well i'll be very thankful for that. I feel it because i perform well as what i have said and thats my target grate on this subject, im not aiming to have a high grade but a passing is grade for is the one matters. 4.well, the system is good. 5.to have more activities with regards the subject and ofcourse the excititng one but to make sure it would not take a lot of tome to do, because we are a student of IN and we have so many things to do to our other subject specially on our & unit and 5 unit subject

1.) Hmmm...Well, let me start by saying, I'm not paying for it because im a student who pays no tuition fee=/tuition evader=). Yes, of course, it's all worth it..where could you find a subject which let's you watch amazing,well-produced films for free...hehe=) Seriously, yes, because this subject, just like literature is not the ordinary school subject where you're required to burn your brows just to memorize easily forgotten scientific facts. This subject makes us more critical in viewing beauty in life, lessons in life. It's not only mind-enriching but life-enriching as well. Talking about buy one take one huh?! 2.) Of course, golf course!!! I may not be a genius when it comes criticizing art, but I know that I am attentive enough, listening enough and studying enough to learn things about art, about humanities, about the things we have seen and heared. (Tsaka obvious naman sa tests e...=) 3.) 1.00...knowing myself, I think I busts my ass enough to have that grade. And I badly badly need it=) Sabi nga nila, reach for the highest stars=) 4.) Totally cool...It's fun, thrilling, an enjoyable way of learning. It makes us more driven. Before going to the class, I make sure that I have read the lessons to be discussed so that when it comes to recitation, I won't leave heaven and be on hell. PARAISO,PURGATORYO and IMPYERNO rules!!!!!!!! 5.) First, I suggest to the proffesor to take care of his health, how would he deliver his subject if he has to be at the hopital. Take care of yourself before others. Next,I do hope HUMANITIES time will be 2 hours so we can finish one film in a day. Third, hard-to-reach frustrating is excitomg yet frustating.(I work hard to get perfect score to have a cd of my own choice but i can't really get it. Lastly.Ummm....I guess, just keep up the good work and God bless....... Sir, I can't register e-----------Penullar, Angelica Grace MCO522

1. YES! because eventhough it is not like the other subjects that we have to study hard and make use of our books just to gain information or knowledge about the subjects but in humanities we can relaxed during the class while gaining or learning something about the subjects. were just watching a movie or just listening to some music but theres we learned something about it. 2. not really,, but 85% sure. bacause i know im doing everything that should be done for me to be able to pass it. and i think there is no reason for me to fail. 3. honestly I want to have a grade of 1.75 hehe ,, but still it depends on my performance and i think im doing just fine.. 4. i was enjoying on the way he gives our recitation,,because it made me nervous and there is an eagerness to know the answers on the question that will fall to me and at the same time im enjoying it was just a game for me. 5. nothing,, i think i dont have anything to suggest because i really like his way of teaching, no tensions and pressure. just fine and relaxed way of learning.

Kamusta naman ako sir...! Frauline Fuertes of MCO522 here (wish ko lang kilala mo po ako... ;D...). may error po dito "Sign ups are currently disabled at this forum. Only staff members can create accounts at this time. " ayan. well anyway... 1. Of course this subject is worth the money my parents are paying. and it is worth the time I am spend on it and will still be spending. It might really be useful, still, if my mom would tell me to shift to AB LIT hehhehe! i love the subject to be honest. I believe that to learn and appreciate the arts is to really experience it, and that's how you teach us. it's really great! I love the movies... the music... what would come next? (di nagbabasa ng syllabus. ...!) 2. I have had a hard time especially on prelims because I have this... difficulty in hearing... (hehe binge). I think I'll pass though... I am doing my best and I pray that I'll pass... 3. I expect at least a grade of 1.75... I think I deserve it... I am doing everything I can... I know that if I put my mind into it I can... maybe higher, still? hehehe! 4. Ahahahaha! I like the recitation part! nakakabaliw! nakakakabog! It's really exciting and I think luck plays a big part in it. luck that the questions which I know the answer wouldn't be answered by the ones before me! hehehehe! It really gives us the determination to study, so as to get to heaven... which i have never been to! ... Lady Luck's not on my side... it is fun, still ;D ! 5. To improve huh? nothing more...! I thought at first that humanities would really be boring... but now, I love it ... I'm looking forward to each meeting... even exams! As I've said, the way you do the exams are great... hard, but great. even the smallest details..., you see. I just hope and I pray that you get a good health... you told us that you are sick... Hope that you never change! I might get to see more of you in case I shift... if I do.., I'm having a hard time deciding who I want now, to be my adviser...hahahaha! you know what i mean... i know you do... take care and God bless...! p.s.: watch high school musical... it's a great movie! ;D Frauline... signing out.

1. I believe that this subject "humanities" is a worthy subject. The tuition fee and the time that are all consumed are worthwhile.. Based on the hours and days we spent, I appreciate all the value of art..I learn to love old music one by one because I used to fall asleep when I listen to old musics but now i learn the significance of music in our life (especially when I once heard the music of Mozart), no matter it is old or new musics..I learn to rate them all. 2. Based on the performance I am doing in the school..I know that I could pass this subject..I exert my whole effort and I never neglect to pass all the requirements needed for this subject..We can achieve something out of nothing if we balance everything. I value humanities even though it is a minor subject.. 3. To tell you the truth sir, I want to have a flat one grade. But as I can see on my grades in prelim and midterm I cannot achieve that dream grade! I only have passed scores on the current quizzes..I am blaming myself for being a lazy person from the start and now I am exerting my best efforts to get a desirable grade.. 4. I love the "chair recitation system" you have three places to move to: paradiso, purgatoryo and imperno..From the very start of the recitation i stayed in purgatoryo but when it ends I move to paradiso but i did not grab the opportunity to sit there because I had gastroenteritis and fall on the imperno row..I can picture our life in that chair recitation system, some people commit mistakes that can be to their downfall while others are like pushing the right buttons to success.. 5. For more success of the delivery of the subject, the only thing we must have is the bonding or the relationship between the teacher and students.. I want the 'closeness' remain for everyone so the students and teacher will learn to respect one another and avoid misunderstandings..It is hard for the student (based on my observation) to study and concentrate on the subject if there are any argument and misunderstandings...I know it is hard to be a teacher and I can see that my professor is doing his best to please his students...May the laughter and jokes remain in the class..

:: ;D ;)sir Solmerano.
1) yes i know that this subject is worth the money of my parents especiaaly my uncle and aunties because they are the one who help mi an my financial problems in my studies. But i know even this is only a minor subject i can manage it. humanities, an this subject i was able to appreciate the work of arts even we are ralaxing in this subject i know that i am learning. 2) well, i hve a value an this subject i am confident that i will pass this subject because i am doing my best and with my effort. I have had a hard time especially on prelims because i have a difficulty in hearing well but probably i do my best naman. I may not be a genius when it comes criticizing art, but I know that I am attentive in all the things that i am doing in humanities. 3)I'm still expecting for a passing grade but I want to have a grade atleast higher than 2.00. but, i think i can do better to improve my grades. I am willing to do it because i dont want to have a failing grades.i wish that thats my grade in midterm was good enough but its up to you sir hehe... to what you see an mi. but urely sir i know that i am studying enough and attentive enough. 4) especially during our prelims sir is not good enough because most of us want to go in heaven but still nasa impyerno parin kami kasi if one person know already the answer we cant move an our place na nman. But i know sir that you are doing that kind of system because you want us to study hard. so, thanks narin po. 5) I suggest that sir, please have a further explination on whatever we are going to discuss so that we will understand it better. I would like to improve??? ummmm alam kopo ala na. so yun na lang po. sir salamat po dahil naging mabuti kang prof samin. hanggang here na lang po. god bless and sory po i can't register.

1. i do believe that this subject (Humanities), is really worth my tuition fee and time. this is because everything that is being tuckled and everything that you are introducing to me is new to me, which is the reason why i have enrolled to such subject: to appreciate arts. yes, i do love arts even before this subject is introduced to me. but, now, it makes me more sensitive of the beauty and the spirit that is possessing every work of art i am encountering. 2. i am confident to say that i will be able to pass this subject. BUT, i dont think i can get high grades. as i have observed my performance recently, i am getting very low grades. this is probably because in watching a film, i tend not to consider very specific details in the movie, like, the number of wigs that mozart have worn..hahaha. ;D and another thing is that, i have a hearing defect. . 3. thinking positively, i foresee to have a grade of 85-87, but, basing my expectations to the grades that i am getting, i can predict that i might have a grade of 83-84 i guess. but, i will try my best this finals in order for my grade to reache 90+. i need to have the grade, in order for me to maintain my scholarship, but, if not given the chance to pull my grades, i dont think i can aford my tuition fee next sem. 4. i just love your system in recitation last prelim! ;D it challenges me more to strive for recitation in order for me to reach 'heaven'. unfortunately, due to unknown reason, you have changed your system this midterm, which, i guess, had removed the 'spirit' in the classroom during discussion. i think sir we shouldm bring back the system.. 5. i was really troubled last time when we had a misunderstanding. honestly speaking, because of what happenned, i am now a bit afraid in approaching you sir. i would just like to suggest to just forget what have happenned, so as to bring back that kind of openness that we once had. another, sir, i strongly suggest that you bring back the recitation system if yours. >>thank you sir for this additional 10 points!!! ;D but i dont think i can still get a higher grade in the exam. hehehe.. ;D

Agbuya, Jonald A. A05B33 Before any thing else, Sir, Good day! 1. Worth the tuition fee? Well, it doesn’t matter at all. Humanities is such a new-fangled thing for me. I’m a person who loves to learn, so anything that is new, I really want to watch-out for it and make sure that I will really gain knowledge of it. This subject matter doesn’t make me feel ill. Unlike other subjects, that even though I know for a fact that is a major subject for my course that gives me a huge circle in my eyes. I find our Humanities class as a cure or a learning-leisure time for me. We just listen and watch a film or music. It is a somewhat difficult but a worth while subject. I just wished that I always attend the class. I admit that I’m always late and it triggers my gain of knowledge, but as the time I attend the class, I would just say, “wow!” it is really different a new type of ideas and fun time. 2. As I appraise my self, I think that I’ll pass the subject. I’m not that active enough, but I’m self-assured that I’ll pass it because I do everything I can, I cannot say that I do best because it is essentially not just redundant but has a gap within it. So I just study hard and participate to the point of what I just can do (I'm just shy of commiting a mistake when it comes to recitation). I just wish Mr. Solmerano is not that austere about passing a student. ;D 3. A flat one (1.00) would be enough. But I discern that I for myself have an inadequate response within the class and I deem that is not that easy to have it, because there is no such thing as an easy thing but a challenge to everyone. Therefore, I think that a grade not lower than two (2.00) would be enough and is just worth for my effort. ;D 4. Actually, I find it funny and somewhat difficult for me. Most of the time, I disembark late, so I’m always place myself at the inferno part which is a 75. Funny to the part that when my classmates, didn’t answer Mr. Solmerano’s question and it reaches me, I sometime answer it but I never got the chance to jump up to the paradise part which is a 100. 5. To have more more stimulating activities with regards the subject. Just keep it as easy as possible so that it will not devour more time. I also look forward of having a 2 hours of class so that we will have an adequate time in our film viewing. Lastly, I would just thank you for your effort and long patience when it comes to handling our class, because i know that we are somewhat hard headed. thanks again! God Bless Always! ;D
