1. Did you like this film in general? Why? Yes, I do like the film in general, it was a very stimulating film continues to awake every audience who'll watch it, it was a very simple but very straightforward film.
2. Did you agree with the main theme/purpose that the film wants to convey? Why or why not?
I do agree with the main theme that the film wants to convey, that is to make us realize every detail, every sacrifice, all the bravery that Rizal did just for the expense of liberty of every Filipino.
3. What specifically did you like/dislike about the film? Why?
I am personally applauding the creation of this film, most particularly the explicity of every scene. It was not hard to understand and it was done distinctively in order to deliver its meaning to the audience. It was simple yet profound; it was diminutive but comprehensive and all-inclusive.
4. What lesson or insight have you learned from the film? The simpliest insight I have learned upon watching the film is that, you have to fight for what you believe is right. The best people are not them, it is you who believes and fights for what you are believing for. just like Rizal. You have to make your life worthy of its stay, you have to learn to value other people's effort for your sake and appreciate it . I learned as well how to be even more patriotic, how to be even more appreciate my self and be proud because I am a FILIPINO!
5. Did the author/actors/director do a good job in the film? Why or why not?
Yes, of course, every one in the film did a good job, the actors are acting from their heart, they give life, they give color, and twist to the movie to make it more conveying to the audience.
6. What particular changes would you like to recommend to further enhance the quality of the film? How could it be further improved?
I guess, it would have been much better if the movie showed every detachment of that Katipunan thing so as to have better appreciation of their exertion, power and industry until to how our liberty was regained.

Did you agree with the main theme/purpose that the film wants to convey? Why or why not? >Yes I agree. The movie wanted us to remember our history and how great Rizal was and that we must be proud that we are Filipinos. Indeed, Rizal was a great hero because he sacrificed and experienced a lot in the hands of the Spaniards. 3. What specifically did you like/dislike about the film? Why? >I like the movie because it takes me back during their time. The only thing I dislike is that, the settings are a bit unreal. 4. What lesson or insight have you learned from the film? >I’ve learned to value our history and that I must be proud that I am a Filipino because of the heroic things Rizal had done to our country. I learned also, to stand for what you believe is right and never be under any ones hands. 5. Did the author/actors/director do a good job in the film? Why or why not? >Yes they had done great ;D. They had shown the highlights of the important things that had happened during those times even if, it was just a summary of Rizal’s life. 6. What particular changes would you like to recommend to further enhance the quality of the film? How could it be further improved? > if possible , they can further improve the settings and make it as real as possible and I know that the movie is just a summary, but for me I want to see the detailed life of Rizal but I think that’s not possible because they will consider money and their effort in doing another film of Rizal..

1. Did you like this film in general? Why? >At first, I was quite hesitant if I’ll be really watching it. I thought that it’s boring and it won’t make any sense. But after watching the movie, I realized that it’s really worth watching. This is one of the few movies you would surely watch over and over again. It’s amazing to see this king of movie made by the Filipinos for the Filipinos. The actors were great and they really tried to show the significant events that had happened to him. In general, I really like it and I will surely recommend it.
2. Did you agree with the main theme/purpose that the film wants to convey? Why or why not? >I totally agree with what the film is trying to convey. I think that the main purpose of the film is for us to realize how important our history is. We have forgotten what the Filipino people experienced from the hands of the Spaniards and how they treated us like trashes. This film is just helping us realize that once in a lifetime, there’s someone like Jose Rizal who tried to change the Philippine history by doing the best that he could to open the eyes of the Filipinos on how the Spaniards treated us like slaves. He fought thru his novels, which is one of the gateway for us to enjoy the freedom we have right now.
3. What specifically did you like/dislike about the film? Why? >What I like about the movie is how they tried to show the significant events in the life of our National Hero. The setting that was used in the movie was great and it even looks like you’re in the very moment where Spaniards are the one who rules our country. It was great seeing what are the characteristics of Jose Rizal; from someone who’s very intelligent to someone who has a great sense of humor and quite naughty. I like how the movie tried to focus not just on Rizal, but also on the significant people in his life. What I dislike is that I haven’t seen few parts of the movie.
4. What lesson or insight have you learned from the film? >I learned that we should love our country. You don’t have to join revolutions for you to be called as a hero. You You don’t need to die to be called a hero, just do good things to others and continue the legacy of our heroes, because we are all heroes in our own good little ways.
5. Did the author/actors/director do a good job in the film? Why or why not? >Thumbs up to the people who were involved in this movie! The actors were very good and they were able to portray the roles they were assigned to especially Cesar Montano. He was able to portray Jose Rizal, and the role really suits him. The setting was beautiful. It feels like the film was taken hundred years ago because they were able to show different places. The costumes were great and its fun hearing the actors speaking Spanish. They really did an excellent job.
6. What particular changes would you like to recommend to further enhance the quality of the film? How could it be further improved? >For me, the film is already a high-quality; it doesn’t need any further improvement or enhancement.

1. Did you like this film in general? Why? - I think everybody liked it and so do I because ever since I enjoyed watching historical film without getting bored. Also, the movie Jose Rizal is a great interpretation of the Philippines's tragic history. 2. Did you agree with the main theme/purpose that the film wants to convey? Why or why not? - I agree with the main theme or purpose that the film wants to convey for the reason that this film will take you back from the time Jose Rizal did everything in his power to bring attention to the world about the abuses of Spanish power in the Philippines and remind us that he brings the light to the Filipinos when he died victorious and in the end his memory and legacy remains forever. 3. What specifically did you like/dislike about the film? Why? - Particularly, I love the last scene of the film when Rizal fell in the ground facing the sky, having his last breath looking at a beautiful sunrise because it is an illustration that Rizal did not die in vain nor die defeated because his death is the torch that lights Philippine independence. 4. What lesson or insight have you learned from the film? - I was impressed by the following two lines: 1) In a Madrid pub, Rizal says "Unless we first learn self-respect, we will not be respected by any other people." 2) After having death sentence, his barrister says he is ashamed as being Spanish. Rizal says, "No, we are the same human beings." Like Rizal we are not perfect, nor have perfect ideas. But with this flawed, in the end we have left something everlasting, that we can be proud of. We ought to be patriotic and have a sense of heroism in some way and simply be a proud Filipino. 5. Did the author/actors/director do a good job in the film? Why or why not? - I was pleasant surprise to Cesar Montano. His utter dedication to the role, his pure screen presence brought the character and I was impressed with his impressive Spanish lines and good affectations and the other actors and actresses portray their characters well and did an excellent job. They made the story of Rizal's life easily understandable and entertaining. Their chemistry was incredible and utterly believable. Director Diaz-Abaya described Rizal not only from outside but from his inner side. The direction is first-rate, as is the acting. 6. What particular changes would you like to recommend to further enhance the quality of the film? How could it be further improved? - I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride when watching certain parts. I'd recommend anybody to see this movie, but I think Filipinos should see it too. Anyway, it is a very good film. It is really impressive that I couldn’t ask for more.
