1. Did you like this film in general? Why? yeah. i think the film is great. maybe because our gen is bombarded with trash films. and something different conveying great messages and not just entertainment is something unique(definitely on a positive note) for me. not to mention serena is very cute. 2. Did you agree with the main theme/purpose that the film wants to convey? Why or why not? yes. because the message(the way i interpreted it) is deals about the reality and seems to warn young pips like me to be cautious on what we do. and stand up for ourselves and for the ones we love. 3. What specifically did you like/dislike about the film? Why? the actors are great. convincing performance. the plot is good. hmmmm.. dislikes? nothing? i think i have no right to criticize such a great film. 4. What lesson or insight have you learned from the film? women(and not just women but everyone) should fight for their rights. there is more evil in this world that what we imagine. more shit than jewels. we should learn how to keep those jewels take care of them, love them, make them feel it. but be sensitive if it is time for you to let them go. live with crap and learn how to learn from it and stand eventhough things have not gone the way we wanted it. 5. Did the author/actors/director do a good job in the film? Why or why not? yup. great plot, great casting, moving performance, realistic setting, touching story. 6. What particular changes would you like to recommend to further enhance the quality of the film? How could it be further improved? i like the film. wala naman. i just think ariel is just too young for vilma santos. yun lang naiisip ko. para may maisagot lang. ;D

Evaluation Questions on Bata, Bata, Paano Ka Ginawa?
1. Did you like this film in general? Why? * I like the film in general because it showed many themes. Themes that are not only conveyed to the parents in the family but also the siblings in the family.
2. Did you agree with the main theme/purpose that the film wants to convey? Why or why not? * I agree with the main theme that the films wants to convey. It showed that handling or taking care of childrens is a very hard job and the hardest part of it is that how you mold your children for the his/her future.
3. What specifically did you like/dislike about the film? Why? * I dislike about the film is that how the film started. I disliked it because it did'nt show how Raffy and Lea seperated. It started with the program of Lea's daughter without any knowledge that Ding was not the first husband of Lea.
4. What lesson or insight have you learned from the film? * It's hard to create a perfect family but it's much harder when you end up seperating with your family.
5. Did the author/actors/director do a good job in the film? Why or why not? * Yes, they did a good job. They are good because it was a blockbuster hit. It was performed by great actors, like Vilma Santos, a very good director, and an creative, true-to-life basis author.
6. What particular changes would you like to recommend to further enhance the quality of the film? How could it be further improved? * I would like to put the film as the same way as with book because I red the summary and I saw that there were few changes that they had made in the film with book. A second part of the story with the same actors and director.

1. Did you like this film in general? Why? 2. Did you agree with the main theme/purpose that the film wants to convey? Why or why not? 3. What specifically did you like/dislike about the film? Why? 4. What lesson or insight have you learned from the film? 5. Did the author/actors/director do a good job in the film? Why or why not? 6. What particular changes would you like to recommend to further enhance the quality of the film? How could it be further improved?
1. Yes, because the movie is so great and fantastic. It is so very touching. I like all the issues that it tackles. And of course there are lots of lessons in the film which I can also relate myself being a woman.
2. Yes, because it one also one of the current issues. And it shows in this film how a woman can have courage and be strong facing all her problems and responsibilities. This film serves us as an inspiration.
3. I like how the main character face and fought all the problems she had, being an extraordinary woman, shouldering a lot of responsibilities and expanding her limits just to be a good mom and having faith and persistence to live and go on. And also I like in this film how the children appreciated their mother, choosing her to live with. I don’t like in this film her husbands because they didn’t appreciate all the efforts of the main character, they didn’t see first their own selves, of what they already do to their children.
4. It is better to be a responsible person and extend our limits if it is a need just to handle all the responsibilities in our shoulder. And we need to face all the challenges that come to our lives with courage and faith and don’t give up to them.
5. Yes, they did all a good job. Because I know not only me but all of the viewers of the film touches their heart. This film is a reality that may happen in our lives that we can relate ourselves.
6.Lessen some not nice words by replacing it to maybe good words. But actually, this film has its own style and it doesn’t need anymore further enhancement to improve. It is already great.

1. Yes. I like the film because it shows that a mother's love knows no boundary. The female central character remained strong despite of the hardships that she encountered and she never lost hope in facing her problems in life.
2. I agree because maybe the film wants to show how reality bites and wants to show some reasons why this circumstances happen.
3. I like the part wherein the children of the central female character decided to stay with her and not with their fathers because when the fathers of the children are not there for their children, the mother never left them. Instead, she takes good care of them.
4. What I learned from the film is that a mother's love cannot be replaced. Mothers are understanding and caring to their children and a mother is willing to sacrifice for her children just to make sure that her children will be happy and secured.
5. Yes. They made a job well done. The characters act smoothly and they portrayed the attitude that they should show in the film.
6. Maybe, if possible try to reduce some harsh lines or dialogues in the film.

Answer
1. Did you like this film in general? Why? Yes, I really like this film even though some scenes are very confusing. I learned a lot about the role of the woman in her community and how she deals her problems. This drama is very unique and also this is the first time that I watched this kind of drama, the words that are used and the concept of the film is the reality that happening in our country. The film depicts the society’s view of women, how it is to be a mother, and how a mother executes this role through modern-day concepts of parenthood. Bata, Bata... Pa'no Ka Ginawa? Is a wonderfully made masterpiece. The film was also magnificent it was very realistic. The revision made on the literary text to fit the big screen was appropriate for the film. It touches on issues that are not usually talked about specially regarding Women's Rights. It also focused more on the woman and who she really is. The film was very real that affected me deeply.
2. Did you agree with the main theme/purpose that the film wants to convey? Why or why not?
Yes, this film is very different from the other film that we are usually watched, the theme of the film is very exceptional and the director used his creative mind to communicate to his audience. The film is about the role of a woman, like its author, with Filipino society wherein the males were, in the past, assuming more dominant roles in society. In the film, it discussed that most husbands treats their wives as their robots and they serves as the dictators, but the female main character , Lea Bustamante do not agree this kind of beliefs and she follow what she really wants . Lea Bustamante experienced lot of problems for being a mother with two different husbands. "Bata, Bata…Paano ka ginawa?" shows a mother, struggling to raise her two children. What makes it different from other films is the fact that two children have different fathers; the elder being the son of her estranged husband and the youngest being the daughter of her lover.
3. What specifically did you like/dislike about the film? Why?
In this film, what I really like is the uniqueness of the film and creativity that the director exerted on this film. This film really helps the woman to be confident and to fight for their rights. I also like the attitude of Lea Bustamante for being a optimistic person, she try to handle her responsibilities well even though some people thinks that she is not a good mother. On the other hand, the thing that I don’t like in the film is the foul words that the characters used , for me it is not good to hear , but I understand that this is the style of the director to make the film appealing. I also don’t like the plot of the film because some of the scenes confused me, for example, in the end of the story when children stay with Leah and she even manages to deliver a speech at her son's graduation. There is then this imbalance between the build-up and the conclusion; the problem is not provided with a solution. Imagine a child dismisses her father's request to stay with him by saying that she just needs to look at his pictures and also when the principal who looks down on Leah, suddenly becomes the only person who truly understands her passion for helping women in crises. The director hurry to provide a happy ending that will satisfy viewers, the film quickens its plot carelessly. I cannot understand how it happens because the director did not emphasize these scenes.
4. What lesson or insights have you learned from the film?
I learned that, it is very important for the women to fight for their rights. In the past, Philippine women normally and simply follow the wills and wish of their husbands and other male members of society. The role of women before were just to act upon their role as mothers who perform household chores, take care of the children, and take care of the needs of their husbands. In this film, I learned that as women we should follow what we really wants and don’t and should not based only on previous customs, so that in future we do not regret our life. Women should get involved with subject matters and discussions about livelihood and political issues. In this film, the role of the women in the community transformed, for example, the doors of offices were opened to give way to women workers, they were given a place where their complaints regarding women rights could be heard, as well as their concept about life and livelihood and they give importance.
5. Did the author/actors/director do a good job in the film? Why or why not? I think the actor, actress and the director of the film is very good in their performance. The actors and the actress are outstanding especially for Ms. Vilma Santos, he portrayed her role very well as a friend, member of a community and most especially as a mother but in the negative side Vilma Santos' acting did not get me to empathize with her, perhaps due to the plot that she had to act through. Serena Dalrymple's character as the kid who couldn't keep her mouth shut was refreshing though, in that finally, here was a more realistic portrayal of how Filipino children really are. Serena’s acting is very good and funny and I am really amazed on her performance. On the other side, the director is also good because of his style in expressing the film; he made the film very realistic by the words and the place that he used.
6. What particular changes would you like to recommend to further enhance the quality of the film? How could it be further improved?
The many sub-plots in the movie never seemed to work well together, especially during the times that various scenes were awkwardly introduced. A confrontation scene between the lead character and her daughter's principal had a twist for me when the two suddenly started talking about human rights violations simply because the latter discovered that Lea Bustamante was a social worker. This is the part of the film which I want to emphasize. On the other hand, one thing that also made me confused is when Lea Bustamante is flirting Johnny, his officemate. I really don’t know if she is in love with this guy. I think the more detailed scenes will help to make this film more understandable.

1. Did you like this film in general? Why?
ANSWER:
Definitely yes, I like the film a lot. The issues are quite challenging to understand; however, it is interesting. I learned about the purpose of woman in the society and how she settles her problems and circumstances. The distinction of the movie is very important. The words and the theme that were being used in the drama are still happening in the reality. That’s why there is a relation between the audience and the artist in the film. It touches on issues that are not usually talked about specially regarding Women's Rights. It also focused more on the woman and who she really is. The film was very real that affected me deeply
2. Did you agree with the main theme/purpose that the film wants to convey? Why or why not?
ANSWER:
Yes, I agreed. It tackles not only the past issue but also the current one. Before, women were stereotyped as females who are to stay in houses to do house chores, take care of children and their husbands. They were not permitted to participate in manly conversations regarding work and politics. They didn’t have equal rights like men did. And they were not given the chance to speak up for themselves to have their own stands. Now women, instead of staying home doing chores, can be seen in the men’s workplace. Instead of staying back from conversations, they are now heard when speaking. They are now given more space and freedom to have their respective and distinctive roles in the society. They are now seen fighting for their rights and not minding consequences. They now fight against abuses, injustices and equal their levels as to men. Many organizations about women rights are promoting right now, such as GABRIELA. Women are not seen holding back their thoughts and getting scared of being heard. They are starting to prove and earn their right to be treated as equals and worthy counterparts of men. In general, the film did not only entertain us or the audience but also it taught us the lesson and teachings that we will use in our future.
3. What specifically did you like/dislike about the film? Why?
ANSWER: I like the exclusivity of the film. Bata, bata paano ka ginawa? shows a mother, struggling to raise her two children. What makes it different from other films is the fact that two children have different fathers; the elder being the son of her estranged husband and the youngest being the daughter of her lover. The strength of the main character is unbelievable. She never regret what she had done in her life, but instead she continued her life with full effort to maintain the happiness in life. Struggles and failures for her is just an experience that everyone shouldn’t be afraid of. It is better to face it than to escape it. On the other hand there are things that I don’t like in the film, the sounds and the lights that are used. There are scenes that I didn’t understand because of the dark settings and the sounds, voice of the characters are so soft.
4. What lesson or insight have you learned from the film? ANSWER: I learned that being a mother of two children with different fathers is very difficult task. The responsibility of being a parent is double. Although, it is ok at first but then in the future if your children are questioning you, it will take time for you to think what would be the best answer. It is also important for women to fight their rights. Men and women must be equal in their rights. Women should pursue what they want, don’t just depend to their husband. I learned also that time in your own children is very important. If a mother is so busy with her work and she doesn’t have any time for her children, there is possibility of losing her children.
5. Did the author/actors/director do a good job in the film? Why or why not?
ANSWER: Yes, the characters are outstanding. Ms. Vilma Santos, who portrayed the main character, Lea Bustanmante did very well in the film. She convinced the women viewers to fight for their rights by acting in the film. The two fathers also did well they are so professional and very passionate. Serena Dalrymple's character as the kid who couldn't keep her mouth shut and boisterous was uplifting also; she acted more realistic on how Filipino children nowadays really are.
6. What particular changes would you like to recommend to further enhance the quality of the film? How could it be further improved? ANSWER: I can say that the film is great, no need to change. The theme, plot and characters are outstanding. Maybe it there are need to enhance, it will be the sounds, lights and unpleasant words.

1. Did you like this film in general? Why? I liked the film in a way that it reflects some realities. The film also showed liberation of women in the society. Lea Bustamante is an example of a woman far from a traditional Filipina. She is not that conservative yet she possesses some qualities that makes her a strong person. She is independent, and she wants to fulfill herself so that she can be a more effective woman. 2. Did you agree with the main theme/purpose that the film wants to convey? Why or why not? Somehow, yes. I agree with the idea that even though a mother commits many mistakes, she is still a mother. Even though Lea had two men in her life, that doesn’t really make her a bad mother. She doesn’t want to live behind the shadow of a man; she wants to have her own identity. 3. What specifically did you like/dislike about the film? Why? Being a girl, I liked the idea of making my own identity in this world. That is what Lea wants for herself. I think I can be more effective if people will really recognize me for who I am, not just because I’m associated with someone or something. That really makes a difference. But I dislike Lea’s exaggerated liberation, her incessant flirting with the opposite sex and tactlessness. She lacks conservatism when it comes to topics concerning sex. 4. What lesson or insight have you learned from the film? A woman can be anyone who she wants to be. She is not just a mere daughter, wife, nor mother. Like men, we also want to be uniquely identified. We want to have our own place in this world. We might give in to the pleasures of men, but we will not tolerate their chauvinism. And even though a man leaving his wife can provide many things and perhaps, a stepmother, children will take refuge in their mother’s arms. 5. Did the author/actors/director do a good job in the film? Why or why not? Practically, yes. The people on and off the screen performed well, and was successful in putting the novel in the silver screen. I have read the novel, and I noticed that there were slight changes, but then, the film was still good. The actors were able to internalize their characters. The cinematography was very good. Also, I commend the author for writing a novel that is really radical. Kudos! ;D 6. What particular changes would you like to recommend to further enhance the quality of the film? How could it be further improved? I guess, the film needs improvement in lighting. Though some scenes really need to be dark, they still need proper lighting to make the characters more visible. And if I were one of the movie crew, I would suggest that some musical effects can further make the film more realistic.
