Gayo, Kevin Kester G.
FR1
1. Did you like this film in general? Why?
-- No. I'm not really a fan of Shakespeare's work. Except for his infamous Romeo & Juliet (when it was modernized on different film versions). I guess it would be that it was all associated to the Medieval Period, which I'm not familiar to, that makes me feel bored watching and/or reading them.
2. Did you agree with the main theme/purpose that the film wants to convey? Why or why not?
-- No. It's very satiric and close to being morbid. It's all about deception, unfaithfulness, and death which not make me agree to the film. Watching that really makes me believe that having a monarchy government would just be a big disaster and even worse than what we have today.
3. What specifically did you like/dislike about the film? Why?
-- I like about having the courage to stand up after you fall and redeem yourself rather than killing yourself further. What I dislike about is that it concentrates more on revenge, killing and even more death w/c is very disturbing, even the scenes on how they were killed.
4. What lesson or insight have you learned from the film?
-- That everything is temporary. And with great power held greater responsibility and more risks in your life and the life of others. Also the rule: an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth isn't good and just makes things worse.
5. Did the author/actors/director do a good job in the film? Why or why not?
-- Fairly yes. The film itself is great. Nothing new but made smoothly. Actors are very convincing and the film really draws you in the emotions depicted on a scene. There is nothing bad to say about the movie itself I might say.
6. What particular changes would you like to recommend to further enhance the quality of the film? How could it be further improved?
-- With regards to the quality of the film, it's neatly done. And with that kind of a movie genre, there's nothing I can suggest to further improve it's quality. I guess less exposition when it comes to brutal killing and/or obscenity. But I guess it's all part of the show..
